Tips For Chosing The Perfect Cheap Textbooks
Ahhh, the days of college life. This is a time you're either looking forward to, or you simply can't forget. And when I say forget, I mean it for many reasons. It's not just about the keggers and frat parties. Sure, college can be an utter blast if you meet the right people and attend the right events. Unfortunately that's only one aspect of the BEAST known as higher-education. Now let's ponder the relentless hours of homework and studying. Then there are those long and drawn out exams every quarter. Oh, and never forget about the cost of tuition. It's continues to go up as years pass. Just be thankful if you have the ability to live at home while in college. This can save you a fortune on dorm fees and food costs. Finally you have the text books. This is probably the most irksome aspect of University life known to man. Now, whether or not you know it yet, course books can break the bank. This is why you'll want to start searching for cheap textbooks early in the game.
There are a few different ways you can go about buying books for college classes. The most standard routine concerns the campus bookstore. A place you will most likely come to despise. For me it only took one quarter. I forked out 230 bucks for my text books, and then returned after final exams to sell them back. I walked out of the campus bookstore with 49 dollars. So, what do you think of that? Bummer, huh? I knew at that moment that I had to find cheap textbooks before my next courses began, or at least within the first week of class. Some professors like to hit you with bundles of homework on the first day. It certainly pays to have the text books handy. This is when I turned to the web. I soon discovered that most cheap textbooks could be found online. Amazon.com helped me a great deal with this. Now, this process won't work with everything. A few of my professors had specialty books made up themselves, and they could only be acquired at the local print shop. But, these were inexpensive, so it didn't matter either way.
Sell those cheap textbooks back! I mean to other students. Not to the campus bookstore. Again, they will give you nothing for them. However, students about to take that course you're finishing up will gladly pay you for them if it's cheaper than the campus bookstore. Post print-outs around campus with your contact info and book titles.
