The Best American Photo Magazine

I have been an avid fan of photographer for many years, and now I am just about ready to go on and take that big jump – I am going to try being a professional. I know, I know – everyone keeps telling me that a professional photographer is what you do, not what you are, and I have done very few paying gigs thus far. But even still, there is something about the glamor of being a photographer, of capturing life on film, whether it is people's parties or important world events. I have not been able to get the image out of my mind for the past three years or so, until it has become a bit of an obsession.

I have been doing my best to keep up with the trade as a start, and also have a lot of pretty professional gear. I have been reading every American photo mag that I can get my hands on for the past few years as wee. I even have a subscription to American photo magazine, and read it every chance I get. I guess that the American photo magazine is the big outlet for my dream. I get home, and get really excited to see the newest copy of the American photo magazine in my mail box. When I open up my American photo mag, I practically get teary eyed, thinking all about the possibilities out there to make a career in the exciting world of professional photography. I know that there is a whole lot of competition for a relatively few jobs, but every time I open up the American photo magazine, I can no help but think that one day soon that fabulous success will all be mine.                         

Of course, I have read the American photo magazine articles on making it as a professional, and I do know that it is not as easy as all that, but still, how hard can it be. Everyone from my mother to my High School art teacher has told me that I ave a good eye and, by the standards of American photo magazine, a good eye and a little bit of luck is all that you need to make it. I know that my eye is good, and I have been refining my technique. Now all that remains to be seen is if I have the luck that I need too.
